“CINCO DE MAYO”
Join us at Riverlife Brisbane on Labour Day weekend for Cinco De Mayo. What is Cinco De Mayo you might ask? Well Cinco De Mayo (which is Spanish for “fifth of May”) is the date used to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5th 1862. Since then Cinco De Mayo has since become wildly popular outside of Mexico it is celebrated around the world.
